Stringing Four Weeks Of Thought Balloons Together
Don't get me wrong. The past few weeks have been very eventful, with loads of blog-worthy stuff. It's just that by the time I get home I've either forgotten them or I'm too tired to do anything else after doing the stuff I have to do at home (like free Internet). And it's been this scenario over and over again for the past few weeks.Maybe it's just the Theater Arts 107 production that's getting on everyone's nerves. And schedules. So go watch it when it's ready. Think about it, at least you'll be making our sleepless nights worth something in the end.
Greenwich's "Pizza-All-You-Can" promo ended yesterday. Good thing I got to try it out with my dormmates last Thursday. Sucky schedule though, had class until 11:30AM, then again at 1PM. And the promo only lasted from 11AM until 2PM. And the 1PM class had to be the one of my most hated classes. Oh well, getting to class one hour late was worth stuffing my face with enough cheese, pepperoni, ham and pineapple to not make me think about eating anything until midnight. Oily porkchops are good with beer.
Last Thursday's Buy 2 Take 1 San Miguel Strong Ice promo was the first time I took alcohol in a while. Sucks to wake up wasted just to go to 7AM Math 11 (read: high school stuff Math - reread: boring, especially when you've had only four hours of sleep) class.
So I try to make up for the sleep I lose for 7AM Math 11 by sleeping between that and my next class, which is 11AM. Trouble is I get all these weirdly vivid dreams at this time. How weird? If waking up to your cellphone's alarm right in the middle of dreaming of looking out the window of a hilltop log cabin to a city made of spherical superstructures whose metallic surfaces are reflecting the dancing lights of the aurora above them isn't weird, I don't know what is. Sigh, imagination.
Like I said, this sem bites. Unlike the past sems, when there was Humanities 1, Humanities 2, Filipino 20, Psychology 1, Filipino 20 and English 4 to keep my creative outlet-seeking side occupied, this sem's chock-full of formal writing subjects, but no "creative" ones. Writing the main synopsis for our production was probably the closest thing I got to creative writing for a subject so far. Sadness.
Speaking of creative writing, to those who have read "The Ceremony" and tolerated my abuse of language: my humblest apologies. If you have read it and thought that it read more like the first chapter of a story rather than a story on its own, that's because it is. And the whole was still missing a big chunk when the deadline came, so in desperation, I got the biggest piece that could pass off for a story on its own. I'm still in the process of writing the whole though, and I promise to have it edited when I finish it.
Technically it's not a song, so for formality's sake: Bach's "Orchestral Suite No. 3 - Air" is still my favorite piece of music after all these years. Yes, I like listening to good old classical every now and then. I just really like the fact that it's not a love song, not a hate song, not a/n (insert-emotion/love-or-life-crisis here) song or anything of that sort, so I can listen to it whenever I'm angry, angsty, depressed, bored, tired, hungry, drunk, or whatever late-teenage (yes, Krista, I'm finally accepting the fact that I'm no longer a teenager by the end of this year) emotion comes to mind.
Here's to still getting depressed when listening to "Soco Amaretto Lime" by Brand New.
"I'm gonna stay eighteen forever, so we can stay like this forever..."

this is really just weird.
a blog post about what you've exactly been up to.
haha! :)
The truth still tells better than fiction every now and then. I'm simply acknowledging the fact.
OMG that sounded just like a "Stranger than Fiction" plug. Oh well...
